BOXING RETREATS
As summer approaches, you will probably start to see a decrease in participation from your membership, if boxing or kickboxing
is the only activity that you are offering. Some boxing or wrestling schools sees enrollment decreases through the summer
months, while martial arts schools look forward to making big money providing summer camps for youngsters.
The summer months do not have to be slow months for your clubs; there are other activities and ideas that you can do to
keep the summer profitable.
Retreats are a good idea for the summer. You can start now, planning and advertising a retreat for the summer. For adults,
you can have more than one retreat. Your clientele can take a trip to a mountain resort for hiking, swimming, massages, golf,
parties, live entertainment and other activities. Your group can train at some resorts or you can leave the boxing training
in the gym for the time you are vacationing and just relax.
Beach resorts are great for families, include the kiddies. Florida, Texas, California, British Columbia, South Carolina,
Mexico, all have great resorts and family entertainment spots like Disney World.
When the slow months of summer approaching, it is time to go with the flow. Everyone is trying to enjoy the great outdoors
and have a great time in a vacation setting. So join forces with the hospitality and travel businesses and earn big dollars
too.
In addition to resort trips, you can provide excursions of one day to theme parks such as Busch Gardens, Adventure Town,
Hershey Park, Six Flags and Kings Dominion etc. Some of your patrons may not have the bucks to go to big resorts, so think
about so lower priced activities also.
On a local vain, there are always the museums, art galleries, sport parks such as baseball and soccer to add to you activities
list. Make deals with your favorite minor or major league teams. Of course, do not forget a summer picnic for your club with
fun, food and entertainment. Everyone loves a picnic.
As you can see the summer months are very profitable months too. It is a good time for your club or gym to make money in
a different fashion. Sometimes people are looking for something different for the summer and your actions may be unique from
your competitors. Remember that you do not have to remain in the gym all summer with those few sweaty boxers or wrestlers
who have no life. Be creative and add profits through summer activities with your clientele. You can do everything from hay
rides to beach resorts. Contact a good travel agent now to get the best deals.
